HELP! Which DJ Do I Book?

Generally speaking, Brides-to-be do most of the wedding organising and have never booked a DJ before, and at some point may think "I need a DJ for my wedding" and will then look for a wedding mobile disco.

There are literally hundreds of DJs out there in many shapes and sizes (including friends and colleagues) and to help you appreciate the difference between a professional wedding DJ and one who is certainly not (***sometimes refered as a "Cowboy" )...please see the table below with a few scenarios and points for you to think about before you consider your Wedding DJ/mobile disco hire as not all DJs are the same.

Cheap(est) DJ or Professional Wedding DJ?

 Cheap(est) DJ :O(  Professional DJ :O)
May not turn up at all (got better money for another gig) :O(  Turns up on time as agreed or as per contract :O)
Cheap, poor quality equipment with no backup in case of equipment failure :O(  High quality great sounding and looking professional DJ equipment with backup :O)
Does not have a microphone or does/cannot speak/make announcements :O(  An experienced speaker with a professional grade microphone, a good microphone technique who can make all announcements clearly :O)
Has very little DJing experience and music :O(  Many years' experience with practically everything song that would/could be possibly asked for :O)
Does not take any song requests :O(  Actively announces, takes and plays requests from you and your guests to enjoy :O)
Plays what he/she wants and dancefloor is empty for all/most of the night :O(  Chooses songs from experience and monitors the dancefloor and your guests to ensure everyone is happy and dancing away :O)
Dressed in jeans and T Shirt or worse :O(  Smartly dressed - Wears a Tuxedo or dressed smart casual :O)
Drinks copious amounts of alcohol whilst working during the night :O(  Only drinks soft drinks or water (even if offered alcohol) :O)
Just turns up - with no consultation with Bride and Groom :O(  Has had a meeting or phone conversation with Bride & Groom prior to the event to ensure everything is understood and any last minute changes actioned :O)
Only interested in getting paid :O(  Goes out of their way to ensure the best evening possible :O)
